weLearn Year 2010 Review
In the spring, we started a new class — Mandarin Chinese for Preschooler. At the same time, we continued expanding the delivery of Chinese classes to local schools. On top of the existing 3 schools, we added McNear School. Believe it or not, the prevalence of weLearn Mandarin Chinese class is everywhere in Petaluma: our campus is on the east side of Petaluma; Grant and McNear are on the west; River Montessori is on the south; Liberty is on the north. Not only that, but we also have students coming from Napa and the city of Sonoma.
This September, with the support and encouragement from the community, we started a new Level 1 Mandarin class with 9 students, and started delivering Mandarin Chinese in Novato.
Besides the Mandarin Chinese program, our Math and Reading Comprehension programs are also worth mentioning. Along with our assistants, we offer a study environment for elementary, middle and high school students. Students not only can finish their homework, but they also have time to enrich their skills by practicing more. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Upon following each individual’s lesson plan, students and parents can see satisfying improvements.
Once again, weLearn thanks all for your trust and support.
Happy Year 2011!

weLearn Newsletter – October 2010
Fall semester is off to a great start
We are delighted to see each veteran. Welcome back! Thank you for your continued recognition for the value of our programs. We’d also like to extend our warmest welcome to new students and families. Welcome to weLearn! We are sure you will benefit from our after-school enrichment programs, as well as the Mandarin Chinese classes. After these few weeks of study, all levels of Mandarin Chinese class had their first mini test for this semester. The results are very encouraging. Keep it up!
Introducing Chinese Proficiency Test
The Chinese Proficiency Test is China's national standardized test designed and developed by Beijing Language and Culture University to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers (including foreigners and overseas Chinese). In an effort to encourage students to learn Chinese and improve their Chinese language proficiency, we will offer the official trial exam to students at Mandarin Chinese level 2 or above. This exam offers an opportunity to understand the level of the participating students. It will also prepare them for the standardized test in the future. The trial exam will take place during the week of Oct 24. Here are the schedules for each class:
Sunday, 10/24 Class 302, Mandarin Chinese Level 2
Monday, 10/25 Class 303, Mandarin Chinese Level 3
Monday, 10/25 Class 305, Mandarin Chinese Level 5
Thursday, 10/28 Class 307, Mandarin Chinese Level 7
If any former student is interested in taking this exam, please call or email for a suitable schedule.
Thank You …
to Elizabeth and family, as well as Kaitlyn and family for their generous donation and continued support to weLearn. We will make the classroom wish list available as per suggest from many of you.

weLearn Newsletter – March 2010
The budget cut on education is impacting many schools and families: school districts are preparing to reduce their budget by millions, along with possibly layoffs; all these will lead to the very heart of academic programs, leaving them in jeopardy.
With schools restricted from working at their full potential, we as parents worry that this will impact our children’s education and future in learning. As the director of weLearn tutoring, I would like to stand up and make sure our programs will reach more people and benefit more students.
What’s New?
· STAR test prep is underway. Students are receiving more and more stars as the result of great progress.
